Touring Theatre Company visits Moor Park Students

On Tuesday 12 February the BTEC Performing Arts students in years 10 and 11 were treated to a thought provoking performance entitled 'Stunted Trees and Broken Bridges'.

Actors from the Y Touring Theatre Company performed the piece which informed the pupils about the UK criminal justice system and based the performance on the concept of 'choice' to commit crime.

Set in 2017, the performance informed pupils about the use of brain scanning which could be used in a court of law as evidence to see whether suspects have developed a criminal brain.

After the performance the pupils were able to ask the actors about life in the performing arts industry and the choices that they have made in order to become actors. The pupils also gained some useful advice to help improve their own acting skills as they approach the end of their Performing Arts course.
