Boccia Tournament

On Friday 7 February 2014, 10 pupils were taken to Christ the King High School to take part in a Boccia/New Age Kurling Tournament against four other high schools.

In the under-13s there was some superb Boccia skills shown by Ajay Adams and Cieran Nield and, being the only girl on the team, Simran Kaur was able to keep them in order. Jamie-Lee Alston Bland held his nerve at crucial times of the game and at the end of the matches the team had won 3 out of the 4 games played.

In the under-16s New Age Kurling, Connor Povey, Michael Hollinger, Morgan Worrall and Martin Embery faced very stiff competition, but with some excellent tactical play the team secured a victory out of the four matches they played.

The two pupil team leaders, Chloe Worthington and Liam Sanders, were very supportive of their peers and were able to provide tremendous guidance about how to play the games.

We look forward to the next leg of the tournament that will take place here at Moor Park on Friday 14 March 2014.
