Moor Park remembers

As the nation commemorates the centenary of the start of the First World War, Moor Park has remembered the sacrifice of so many men and women who have been casualties of conflicts and wars over the last 100 years.

In our full school assembly last week, Mr Cunningham reminded us of the trip in April to France which included a visit to the Somme and the laying of wreaths by our students in memory of young men from our school who gave their lives during the First World War.

This week, morning assemblies on the theme of ‘Remembrance’ have been delivered to all year groups by students in 11M. Prefects have sold poppies to raise money for the Royal British Legion.
