Moor Park Teachers Train University Students

For many years Moor Park School has worked with Edge Hill University providing teacher placements for their trainee teachers as part of the Initial Teacher Training programme.  Moor Park is a popular choice of school for trainee teachers, not least because of our 'Outstanding' judgement by Ofsted.  Our teachers work with the students during their placement providing them with support and we hope that the students' experience at Moor Park has helped them on their way to becoming outstanding teachers in their own right.

Earlier this year I was delighted to be invited by Edge Hill to participate in the interview process for recruiting potential trainee teachers.

The university are impressed with the quality of teaching and learning at Moor Park and value the contribution that Moor Park can make in training future teachers. Miss Cunningham (Support Assistant) and I were invited to deliver a training session to a group of 45 trainee teachers on our experience of teaching pupils for whom English is an additional language.
