Oxford University Visit

A recent visit to Cambridge University has been followed up with a visit to Oxford University.

A group of able and talented Year 10 pupils went to Britain’s oldest university in order to take part in the Oxford Pathways programme. The programme aims to provide information, advice and guidance on higher education and Oxford to academically able pupils.

After a general introduction, a tour of the University’s ancient colleges and dreaming spires was provided and then lunch was taken inside the grand dining hall of Keble College.

After a tour of Keble College’s impressive grounds and chapel, led by two current undergraduates, pupils attended an academic seminar to give them a taste of university-level study.

The day proved to be a highly enjoyable and instructive experience for the pupils who now have Oxford University firmly set in their sights.
