A group aspiring medics recently enjoyed a visit to the Education Centre at the Royal Preston Hospital. The morning session was packed with inspirational and educational opportunities which were enjoyed by all who attended. The session was jointly presented by by 4th year Medical students from the University of Manchester and staff from the hospital. Students had the opportunity to hear first hand about careers and pathways into medical related careers and about the different medicine courses on offer. They also enjoyed hands on sessions looking at basic anatomy, first aid and patient care. Students left the session having had a lot of questions about medicine answered, more knowledgeable on care and first aid and inspired to aim high in their studies and achieve their goal of studying medicine.
