Edge Hill Higher Education Convention

All year 12 students attended a HE convention at Edge Hill University where there were over 100 universities offering advice and guidance on courses and studying at university. Students were able to attend 15 minutes seminars on writing personal statements, student finance, education, medicine and where to study where they were given specific information regarding careers and applying for university. Help was on hand from UCAS and careers information provided by some employers including Royal Air Force and the Navy. As well as coming home with lots on useful information, students were ladened with prospectus’ and free goodies such as pens, bags, badges. “The HE event was very useful. It allowed me to speak to universities I am interested in attending and helping me make a more informed decision as to which universities to apply to. It was more interesting than I expected.” (Nadeem Ahmed – Year 12 student)
